Gratitude

This life is your gift,

This gift is your blessing

This blessing is your way of life

This way of life is your slave

This slave is your master

This master is a slave to your grace

This grace is my fortune

This fortune is your mercy to me

This mercy is my destiny

This destiny is your glory

This glory is your existence

This existence is your expression

This expression is your proof

This proof is your lovingness

This lovingness is my life

This life is your permission

And this permission - is my gratitude!!

Gratitude, that keeps me alive every new day!!

The Uplifter

It was a lonely day,
I felt so weak and down
It seemed, there was a lock on my pray
The ground seemed dull and brown,

Oh! I missed the green of the earth
The Eyes felt betrayed and ignored by the divine
I longed for another life,another birth
I longed for happiness, feeling as if It never was mine

And then, the rainbow dawned
And you entered our lives
With you, we made an unbreakable bond
Like dolphins and water –when they take their dives

You walk with us on every step,
Make us believe it measures a foot
You bring such joy into our hearts,
That enters life, even in a log of wood.


And as I stand where I am,
You lead me into the light
I realize you’ve taken me up,
On a God-kissed heavenly flight!!

There Is Something……

There is something in you,
That steals me away from me!
A stoic silence and, words that are few
Make the distant between us look like a Sea.

The Blue Sea and the Virgin Rocks
Want to tell their own tale,
Or is it our own story?
Wonder we as the wave falls pale.

The wave rises time and again,
Telling me that now you are near,
The distance gets closer and closer
Akin, an eye calling back a dropped tear!

Tears –are what best seals the love we share
We will never be scorned again,
Coz the heart now wants to scream
“Can’t let the wait go in Vain!”

The wait, wants to fly and touch the sky
Is begging for another wing,
I almost feel like giving in,
Coz , I know…there is something!

A Winter Lesson

The snow barely feels melted

The trees with Ice kissed leaves hardly seem bent

The wind takes a swirl around my hair lock,

I almost feel touched by a blessing that’s Heaven-sent!



The sky seems touched by a hue

That leaves the cloud contours revealed,

Chapped lips that tell their story

Wish to now go zipped and sealed.



A serene silence is what they want

Let’s give them the winter peace

For ages, the dew that comes revisiting us

Season post season; now looks like dreamy grease



Grease that clouds our vision,

Makes us forget our true worth

Winters weren’t all about Oak and Teak

It’s also about the nebula of a tree - a sapling’s birth!



Birth is what touches us the most

But so does a second birth!

Second Birth happens when we look within,

When completeness covers the dearth!

Am I changing??

It takes a wave to make you realize

That you’re touched

Stung by the sand and salt that comes along

To tell you that this is reality!



Reality that stands to be the bravest

Bravery that stands to be the purest

Purity that stands testimony to Belief

And a belief- that carries us forward!



‘Keep moving forward’;is what someone quoted

A trio of words that clinched it for us

Clinched what? If you may ask;

A Victory, which lives on in our Hearts



To win or to lose is not the quest

To play with vigor is the true test

If you fail to play along sans fear

It shows that you gave it your best!!

Meeting God....Meeting yourself!

God is within-I’ve heard it all
But why do we all realize this
Only after meeting a bitter fall;
Have we stopped looking for the force?

The force has been always beyond the sky!
It’s just the eye that fails to see
God meekly demands a simple HI!
And then, you’ll find yourself free

Free from all chains forever
You’ll be able to smile at your soul
And count all as one, together;
Isn’t that fine for a lifetime goal??

To be alone or together? - is the question
Are we on the right track?
Never mind all that they say;
To be happy always- is going to become your knack!!

If you ever get a chance to see the Gods
Let them know we love them
We’re all bliss-not weapons and rods
Alas! We’re a part of them!!

DIVINE INTERVENTION

For a new smile, my divine!
You make me cry a thousand tears….
For a light ray yet again,
Sun seems more away just as it nears……


For a smiling petal that I wish to pluck
You make me sprinkle many a drop of water;
For a peaceful day to go by
I run a mile-almost a quarter…..


I know no time like this
Where you just left me bereft
I know no rain like this
Where the splash had me swept

Oh Lord Divine! Is this a magic that you own??
Or it happens on its own?!
Just as I think I stand alone
You make hope grab me, and never let me feel alone!!
