My kingdom of love


The kingdom of love beckons me!
The chandeliers of affection tinkle over me
The cups of wisdom dangle over me
And; the birds of conscience flutter over me

Did I just get swept away by a sea wave of the enlightenment?
What is it that makes me value the prettiest things today, I wonder?
Suddenly God seems to sprinkle on my head the realization of a lifetime
Whatever I took for granted, today stands as my most precious treasure

But who’s complaining for all that has happened!
I know now, we all are just doers of his wishes
Fools that we are, don’t understand that it is just what are life urges and pines for
Mistaken shadows that loom! we think we are getting doomed!

Tales of doom!!
AH!How I wish we would learn the tricks of his game
He is not executing us on the stone
It is just a game of a different kind, the essence still being the same.

The essence that we all yearn for all our lives and do get it also
Is that of content and peace
But why is it that before every new step in our walk of life
We question ourselves, “ is it all worth the pain and grief? ”
