DIVINE INTERVENTION

For a new smile, my divine!
You make me cry a thousand tears….
For a light ray yet again,
Sun seems more away just as it nears……


For a smiling petal that I wish to pluck
You make me sprinkle many a drop of water;
For a peaceful day to go by
I run a mile-almost a quarter…..


I know no time like this
Where you just left me bereft
I know no rain like this
Where the splash had me swept

Oh Lord Divine! Is this a magic that you own??
Or it happens on its own?!
Just as I think I stand alone
You make hope grab me, and never let me feel alone!!

An Independence Day Morning!!

For today’s bright morning that is laced with sunshine,
A special pride nests in the hearts of every one;
A pride that bears a different charm today,
Coz our independence turns sixty-one.



Freedom of the mind and the body
Is what our freedom fighters snatched from them!
And finally when it did meet our path
Why is it that our actions became slaves of condemn!!



Just as we walk away from the times of chains,
Wonder is just what I do;
Why does freedom of thoughts result many times in pain?
What is freedom of action actually leading us to…?



So, time to let the conscience reign
This morning is precious for times to come
Stand up and recognize the call of justice
Lets set an example for the corrupt lot of some!!

Away by just a Call!!

Someone just rang the bell!
Oh! Time for me to get up and rush
As I rush out, it catches my eye
And just then! It just comes over me

Ahh! Only if I could help getting swayed
My old glory drapes me all over
Fever is this any??
Is what I stand and wonder

How could it not touch my inner senses?
One’s golden past always comes knocking again
A fool might beg to differ here
Only if he also knew the game is far from over

What I wish to script is happiness again!
For you, me and all!
Take me as still a sinister, your wish
But I say, I’m still away-only by a call!

Nostalgia

I fail to understand what hits me today
As I miss the lost waves in the sea of time
I mesmerize myself with tales of the last season
And roll down the window once again.

As I see ahead, the past beckons me
Or rather, it pines for me!
I miss my golden friends and the careless whispers
For the fights and make ups that did my world

Speaking of world, those were the days
When my world had just one form of tension
When life worries was only about marks
And fun revolved around rustic swings

Today I swing between the present and the past
What could have been a greater gift than my childhood?
Days that I could trade for a million dollars
Really! I still pine for that lovely life

And when I sit up and smile at the fond memories
I know what brings a spring in my step
Something that forms a part of my lifelong cherishes
Yes! I know what hits me is Nostalgia!!
