Lord's Abode - The Hills

The lane is a lonely stretch
If only you knew the light walks with you
The lush, green forests make you feel lost
If only you knew you find only when you knew you lost

This valley is for finding, you find when you become ready to lose
To surrender is to know you never give up ever
This knowing can last for a lifetime, or it can evade you this moment onwards
As you walk along, you realise something holds you.....

The faith and the recognition hold you tight
This thread of faith is a rope, you realise
As you look up – you feel the clouds walking
You pass the range, as you follow the clouds

The clouds bring you back on earth
When you spot the boundary the edges of a range make up
You realise the realisation of a lifetime
You can see now – its the side profile of the Buddha

The sight of the lord humbles you
It leaves you pristine and moved
You always knew the hills loved the Gods
You see it today...And you feel the love

You come back on your lane
Feeling a world of a difference
The path is no longer a lonely aisle
You smile, as you feel grace walking besides you...into the woods......

Magic of the Western Ghats

The mist on the range is sniffing with the glory
Glory that brings to life the joyful buds
The Western Ghats look more glad than they ever did
As if they swing with the pride of the emperor

The emperor is known to be sitting in the arena of the west
The arena of the grand lord, known since eternity for his magic
A magic that pulls us, akin to a magnet pulling the metal
As we drive through the magical ranges, we feel dwarfed

Feeling dwarfed means feeling big
A sudden rush of grace sweeps us
The aura of the still ranges makes us swell
When you stand quiet, you stand tall

As the drive thickens, the ranges get more candid
They start talking to us a little more
The virgin innocence of the city captures us awestruck
The hustle bustle of the land is way off

I close my eyes as the sun begins to recede at dusk
Telling me, almost – a story went well told
It awakens a sense of relief
As I look forward to tomorrow’s sunrise atop the ghats
