Silence on a Moonless Night

When Dried Marigold flowers
started sniffing of Saffron,
I realised – the magic had worked!
your presence had knocked on my door

Like the water pleads for moonlight
on a moonless night,
You had heard my callout
You came flying, to yield to my plight

Your feathers were so soft
they made me like the roughness
You smiled, said – “Nothing is rough”
It’s the hand that touches, decides

Roughness of the heart
Can never stay for long,
Your one cruel word
cannot kill my heart’s song

Every sheet of linen screams for some color
Maybe yellow, maybe green
But It never asks for a color unknown
It only asks for a blessing, that remains unseen

Love needs no proof
Neither does it need crying hoarse.
It means nothing to let go of love,
It builds a castle of faith even after the departure

If you ever get to meet me again,
Know that moonless nights also shine
You might not be there,
Your silence will be the wordless divine!
